College Sweethearts at McGovern Gardens | Houston Engagement Photographer

There’s something about spring that just feels like the beginning of something beautiful. This engagement session with Osvaldo and Diana at McGovern Centennial Gardens in Houston was no exception it was filled with soft light, blooming gardens, and a couple whose connection was effortless from the very first click.

Osvaldo and Diana are college sweethearts, soon to be husband and wife next March, and spending the evening with them felt like being part of something really special. Their love was calm, genuine, and full of joy - the kind you don’t have to force because it’s simply there in every glance, every laugh, every quiet moment.

Their Story - From study sessions to life milestones, these two have grown through the years together and it shows. You could feel their history in the way they held each other, and their excitement for what’s ahead in every smile. This session wasn’t just about photos - it was about honoring everything they’ve shared so far and celebrating what’s to come.

The Location - Tucked away in Houston’s Museum District, McGovern Gardens is one of my favorite places to shoot. With floral walkways, lush hedges, and peaceful paths, it brings a romantic charm that makes couples instantly feel at ease. We wandered through golden-hour light, stopping wherever their connection felt strongest - and that’s where the magic happened.

The Look -Diana wore a light, tiered white dress that moved beautifully with the breeze. Osvaldo kept it classic with a crisp white shirt and jeans. Soft, neutral tones like these always let the emotion take center stage, especially in a garden setting.

Final Thoughts - This session was one of those that reminded me why I love what I do. Capturing stories like Osvaldo and Diana’s, full of meaning, comfort, and quiet beauty, is such a gift.  I already can’t wait to see them again next spring on their wedding day.
